INDEPENDENCE, MO—Scott Baldwin recently passed his Residential Building Contractor examination through the International Code Council (ICC), therefore making him eligible for his Kansas City Contractor’s license.  Scott is employed at Missouri Contracting & Cleaning, Inc., specialists in reconstruction and restoration services, located in Independence, MO.  

Starting in November 2005, the Kansas City area will require all contracting companies to have a Building Contractor’s License in order to do construction work for area residents and businesses. Once a contractor passes the 4-hour examination through the ICC, a non-profit certifying body for the building industry, he can apply for a local contractor’s license, thus making the company compliant with the new Kansas City ruling.
